Joey started rolling over from his belly to his back on monday, Dec 18th. It was his first times. Here's a (dark) video of that night... He's a pro now! His daddy was a firemen's meeting, and missed it, but has gotten to see it a million times since then.
Next will be learning to go from his back to his belly, which he did once at 5 weeks old, but hasn't done since.
I have lots of Christmas vacation photos to share too! I'll try to get them up soon. So hurry and check back for those.

Video of Joey's new thing
Joey's New Obsession:
I dont even know what exactly to call it, except making engine noises, or blowing spit and air. or whatever. but he does it constantly now. It's his way to 'talk' I guess. Usually he sticks his tongue out too. We do it back and forth for long periods of time. It's adorable!
Just wanted to share!

Friends, Root Beer, and Johnny Jump Up
He LOVES my root beer cans, so we gave him part of the box and he wouldn't give it up. That's my little A&W guy! He's got taste! But if he eyes one of those cans, he won't give up till he's sucking on the side of it!
He was very interested in seeing people drink and wanted his try, so we introduced him to his first sippy cup. Now he cries when you take it away even though he mostly only chews on it instead of drinking any water from it.
He's still a bit small, but we tried out the Johnny Jump Up anyway...Fun times!

Just Hanging Out
Just Hanging Out
Looking like a big boy with his big boy pants on!
Joey loves his bouncy chair now. He loves trying to stand up and play with his toys on there.
But when he wants out, he wants out fast!
Mostly he likes having his toys ready and available for tasting.

Joey had his 4 month check up on this past Tuesday. He is now a whopping 12 lbs and 3 oz. and he's 24 inches long. He goes back at 6 months.
We're all doing great, enjoying Earl's time off. I finished classes on Wednesday, so I'm out of school until Jan 10th.
Thor turned 5 years old today! Yay! (Lars will be 6 in Feb.) Lars has been having some seizures so we've put him on a new medicine to hopefully stop them.
and today, my little sister Angie graduated from Army OCS at Ft Benning!! For old time's sake:
Congrats Angie!! So proud of you LT Koch!

Visits with Family and Friends
The world's largest running motorcycle (and Earl and Joey):

Decorating the Christmas Tree:
3 Generations of Roberts in overalls:

at Lt. Gill's wedding:

We had a busy past couple weeks. We went to a wedding in Raleigh. Then on to Asheville NC, Greenville SC, Maggie Valley NC, and back home. We had tons of fun, but wish time didn't fly by so fast. We were very sorry we didn't get to see everyone that we wanted to.
As soon as we got back home, me and Joey got sick with a bad cold. We got caught up with Grandma Teri, and Earl started back to work again. We put up our Christmas tree and already have gifts underneath for Joey! Enjoy the pictures!

Growing so fast

Joey is growing so fast! He's almost outgrown most of his 0-3 month clothes!

He's having so much fun with his daddy. We all went to church together for the first time last Sunday. Joey sat on his daddy's lap the whole time, and stayed awake the whole service!

Joey must really want to look like his dad. Right before Earl came home from Iraq, Joey started losing his hair. He's almost bald on the top and sides now. He has a baby mullet!

He's learning to grab things now, and put things in his mouth. Today he actually took his pacifier out of his mouth and put it back in all by himself! He's also chuckling alot now, and still talking gibberish. Some mornings we wake up listening to him chit chat to his crib friends for long periods of time.

We'll be coming to Asheville the week of Thanksgiving! Joey will get to meet some family and friends for the first time, and get to reconnect with those he already knows. We can't wait! Hope you enjoyed the pictures!at 10:24 PM
