Visiting with PawPaw

Here's another set of pics from our visit in Asheville. One day at my dads, we took the fourwheelers down to a creek where Joey and Paige threw rocks. They had fun. Joey fell asleep on me before we even got home!

Sandrina's a little wild woman. She kept trying to get in all the pictures I was taking of my dad flying the kite:

She was being very silly this day. :-)

Joey loved Pawpaw's sand!

Joey and Macy getting to know each other a little better.

Joey and Sandrina and Paige playing around.

We're doing good here, trying to get back into our regular life. Joey's still adjusting to Earl being gone, but he talks to his daddy on the computer sometimes and on the phone, and he loves looking at pictures of his Da Da too. Everytime I sit down in "Earl's" chair, Joey runs over and pushes me out saying "move, move!" "da-da's chair!" and won't let me stay there. He points to my chair and says "mommy's chair" and waits for me to go. If I don't, he starts pushing some more and ordering me to move. He's very bossy these days. He also tells the dogs to move all the time and gets angry if they dont listen. He loves popsickles and fruit snacks. He still isn't eating a lot, so I guess we can't expect a growth spurt anytime soon.
I'll post more Asheville pictures later!
Past my bedtime now.

Lake Louise

I'm going to have to post our Asheville pics in phases, a little at a time. Here is one of our last days there, at Lake Louise with my mom. Most of these shots are from the back of Joey's head! Joey loved the geese and ducks. He chased them all over. There was a huge playground too, but he wasn't so interested in that.
Heard from Earl recently, he's doing good. He's moved around a bit, doing a different job, but I think he enjoys it okay right now. His mail takes a long time to get to him, though. But he said to thank everyone for the mail he's gotten so far. He can't think of anything he needs. But I keep asking because I know you all want to send him stuff.

Joey is getting a mind of his own! He usually only wants blue or red socks, doesn't want me to put on the white ones! This orange windbreaker he's wearing in these pictures have Elmo, Cookie Monster and Bert on it, and when he sees it, he has to wear it, no matter if its bedtime or 80 degrees out.
I'll post more pictures later.

Pictures From Earl!

Heard from Earl today. He emailed these pictures, and he called tonight too. He's moved and changed his job. He's now doing regular infantry stuff, and no longer with the Iraqi police. Here are some pictures from his Iraqi Police station.
He'll be sending pics of his new base soon.

He's doing well, sounded good. Happy with his new base and his new job. He got to talk to Joey, so that was the best part.
Cooking at the police station.

That's Earl, in the center ^
The police station, where they slept and worked--just those 2 plywood buildings.

The only thing they had to do there was play ping pong.

We're having a great time in Asheville. Can't believe our time is coming to an end here. We still have so much to do and so many people to see this last week. We wish you were here with us, Earl.
