Christmas Trees, Santa, and the Garlands

Decorating the tree:

Christmas tree shopping:

We tried getting Joey to sit on Santa's lap, but he wouldn't. He was all talk until we got there. We worked on him all day, talking about how nice Santa was, and how Joey needs to tell Santa what he wants for Christmas (a red bicycle and red boat), and how he can sit on Santa's lap for just a minute and mommy will get him back, and the whole time Joey's agreeing and acting excited, but he flipped out when the time came. Here are some outtakes:

They tried putting a stool beside Santa, but Joey still wasn't interested.

He had such a grip around my neck, I couldn' t get him off (Santa was NO help, either).

The rest of these pictures are from our Asheville visit when we had dinner with our friends, Ashley and Bobby, and Joey's little girlfriend, Evie Mae.

Joey likes to make up new positions for the sit 'n spin.

Evie Mae came and sat between Joey's legs to see the book.

Evie Mae was very excited to hug on Joey.
